Black & White Art Show Deadline: April 15, 2002 The new Upstairs Uptown Gallery and the Zozo Gallery, at 412 12th Street in Carrizozo, NM, invite all artists working in all media to enter a special show featuring all artworks done in only black and white. The works will be displayed in a special black and white room to complete the effect. No jury. No fees (except commission on sales). Wholistic Renaissance Fair Deadline: April 15 Arts & crafts people wanted for Wholistic Renaissance Fair Saturday, May 18th, 10 - 4pm in celebration of High Mesa Healing Center's 10th anniversary. Healers, arts & crafts, music, food, demonstrations, all open to the public, free admission. Booth fee: $25. Call Barbara Mader at (505) 336-4808. Nob Hill Craft Show Crafters and artisans from around New Mexico are invited to exhibit at the Nob Hill Early Childhood Center 2nd Annual Craft Show and Silent Auction on April 20 (9am - 4pm). Traditional Craftspeople If you enjoy historical reenactments and possess skills in blacksmithing, spinning, soap making, woodworking, butter churning, milking, chair caning, quilting or other folk skills, the Hubbard Museum is looking for you. Help the Museum in Lincoln celebrate Historic Preservation week by donating your time for a day of demonstrations. This event takes place in early May. All painters, designers, sculptors, etc. who are based in Lincoln County and Mescalero are encouraged to submit a design proposal. Proposals will be accepted until October 1, 2002, but early entries have a better chance of acquiring sponsorship. Bears must be completed by Feb. 1, 2003; however, bears that are completed by Oct. 1, 2002, may be included in early marketing efforts (including national advertising and related products development). Approved submissions will be compiled into a Great Bear Hunt portfolio. Sponsors - businesses, individuals, organizations, and other groups - will select the design(s) they like best. Sponsored artists will receive a $500 honorarium, plus 10% of the bear's auction price. For prospectus, contact Ruidoso Arts Coordinator Mary Lea Lane at 378-4302. Artists who may have a collector who is interested in sponsoring their work, or artists who are interested in sponsoring themselves, should contact project coordinators Frank and Elizabeth Amigo at 336-7469.
